CRYPTOIDS: War for the Green Planet is a new and original line of collectible 1/12 scale action figures. Thanks to the incredible support of this new community, we were able to double our funding goal on Kickstarter, and are now moving towards production.
From the minds behind YHS Podcast, CRYPTOIDS pulls inspiration from the shadows — exploring the rich world of cryptids, global conspiracies, UFO/UAP, and everything in-between. Our goal is to build a unique universe where legendary creatures clash with the evil Reptoid uprising in high-stakes adventures, offering collectors and fans figures that feel simultaneously familiar and totally new.
We're a crew of lifelong toy fanatics, and we have an equal love and appreciation for the 80s and 90s nostalgia, imagination, and epic world-building of the toy lines that basically raised us — to all the awesome sensibilities and must-have habits of the modern collector. We're wearing our influences loud and proud, pouring nearly 40 years of pure toy love into creating something special, new, and unlike anything collectors have ever seen.
We are collaborating with an industry-leading production team and the most highly regarded factories in modern toy manufacturing. This partnership ensures we create figures of the utmost quality and design. Our dedicated design and sculpting team — Jacob Walsh & Tristan Miller — has been refining these concepts for nearly two years in preparation for this launch.
In our endeavor to develop an articulated figure that appeals equally to modern action figure collectors as well as vintage toy enthusiasts, we have integrated a 28-point (or more) articulation system for our deluxe figures. This design ensures comprehensive poseability and includes options for interchangeable heads, hands, and accessories — all while maintaining aesthetic integrity and avoiding unnecessary design compromises.
